Would we have to be a member of RatherBeNude to travel with the group?

No.  You do not have to join RatherBeNude to travel with us.  We do not have nominations or initiations.  Everyone who has ever traveled with us is a member of RatherBeNude.  We are an association of people with like minds and similar travel interests.

We are first time nude travelers.  Is there any benefit for us to travel with RatherBeNude?

All of us in the travel group were first timers at some point in our history.  We can help with packing, flights, airport transfers, costumes, modes of dress and undress, dressing for dinner and customs among nudists that you need to know.  We will share tales of our first times to help ease your transition in social nude vacations.

Why would we travel with a group?

When you go with a group, you take your party with you.  If you know the other members of the group, you get to see old friends again.  You can share the news since you were together last.

Why would we travel with RatherBeNude travel group?

You would meet all those in the group before you ever left home.  Patti sets up a group website for all those going on a particular trip.  The site is closed to all except those going to the resort.  Members can post pictures and bios for all other travelers to see.  Questions are posted and answered for all to see.  When we return from the trip, all can post their pictures to share with the others on the closed site.  Once you travel with us, you will be on our distribution list for emails about upcoming trips and specials.  Your name will never be shared with anyone else.

Why do nudists always seem to have a towel with them?

You should never put your bare bottom on any surface.  Others may want to sit where your bottom has been.  If you always sit on your towel, no one will have to sit on a place where your bare bottom has been.  It is just a common courtesy that is expected within the nudist community.

What sort of people are nudists?

They are very special.  They are willing to defy society norms to practice nudity.  They are willing to travel outside their own country to enjoy nudity without any stress.  They have a body acceptance that allows them to be comfortable within their own skin.  They may not be happy with their body, but at least they accept their body as it is.  They come from every career, every part of the world, every education level and every ethnic group.

Where should we go for our first nude travel experience?

The resort itself matters less than with whom you go.  Go with some nude group!  Almost all are happy to have first timers with them.  They will protect and guide you in the ways of the resort.  RatherBeNude group excels at nurturing those who are budding nudists.

He is afraid that he will get an erection when he sees all the nude women.  Is this a valid concern?

It is a reasonable thought, but most men do not get an erection when everyone on the beach is naked.  Nudity in and of itself is not particularly sexy.  Most erections happen on very young single men with copious amounts of alcohol in their belly.

What is the difference between nude beach and prude beach?

Nude beach is pretty well self explanatory.  Prude beach at Hedo II and Hedo III means that the bathers have to keep their bottoms on.  Men and women can both be topless.  No total nudity is allowed.  At Hedo III there are even clothing police to make sure that you disrobe within a few minutes.
